Here at <\/em><\/strong>Kitlocker.com<\/em><\/strong><\/a> we are incredibly excited and proud to be kitting out the GB Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s Wheelchair Basketball teams ahead of the World Championships. The tournament takes place 16th<\/sup>\u00a0to 26th<\/sup>\u00a0of August in Hamburg, and the players will be heading there with an all new adidas kit.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

The squads have\u00a0had the opportunity to base\u00a0themselves at the English Institute of Sport (EIS) in Sheffield for the last year. The state of the art facilities at EIS, which men\u2019s centre Lee Manning describes as\u00a0\u201cout of this world\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, have given them the perfect preparation for the big tournament. The players have been able to focus fully towards Hamburg with everything they need available to them whenever they need it. Having one training base has also helped build a sense of togetherness and camaraderie across both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams.<\/p>

Confidence in both camps is high and quite rightly so. The men\u2019s side are unbeaten in the run up to the tournament, which has included The Continental Clash at EIS, as well as a friendly tournament over in Poland. GB\u2019s women are going to Hamburg off the back of their highest ever ranking of 4th<\/sup>\u00a0at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio, where the men picked up bronze. Forward Martin Edwards certainly has his sights set high-\u00a0\u201chopefully we\u2019ll get on that podium with a gold round our necks\u201d<\/em><\/strong>. The men are looking to win their first world title since the inaugural competition all the way back in 1973.<\/p>

When discussing the three way partnership between Kitlocker.com<\/a>, BWB and adidas, men\u2019s forward Terry Bywater stated that\u00a0\u201cI\u2019ve been involved in wheelchair basketball for 20 years and it\u2019s great to see the sport moving forward\u201d<\/em><\/strong>. Meanwhile, women\u2019s point guard Helen Freeman said that\u00a0\u201cthe kit is so comfortable and looks great. We\u2019ve never had a kit as good!\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Ben Dixon of Kitlocker.com<\/a> is also very excited to be working with BWB \u2013\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s a pleasure for Kitlocker to be involved in the kit launch.
