The new year has brought many of us a bit of hope for a better year ahead (can’t get any worse eh?) It’s also brought us a brand-new Nike Teamwear catalogue. Which for kitsters like us, is great news!

Last week we gave you a whistle stop tour of the catalogue, with a quick look at each of the new ranges. But over the coming weeks we’ll be checking out the new products in a little more detail.

Arguably the most important and exciting new products can be found in the match kit department and that’s where we are kicking things off. Feast your eyes on this awesome foursome 👀👇

This one is probably the most “fun” of the new additions. The new Park Derby comes in some slightly left field colourways as well as some more traditional ones, like the West Ham/Aston Villa style “claret and blue”.

This shirt is likely to be very popular this year thanks to it’s stylish design, range of colour combinations and very affordable price point. We reckon it’s pretty versatile too, and would even look good as a training top for the gym, running etc.

If stripes are more your club’s thing then the new Nike catalogue has that covered too. The new version of the Striped Division shirt gives you more stripe for your buck than it’s predecessor, quite literally. This year the stripes go the whole way across the shirt from left to right, sleeves and all. And yes, we’ve counted them. This gives it a traditional look, which is sure to please the purists amongst you.

It might be traditional in design but it still manages to pack in all of the highly technical garment engineering that you’d expect from Nike. Made with sweat-wicking Dri-FIT fabric, the shirt helps you stay dry and focused even in the heat of the battle. Plus, a mesh back panel adds ventilation.

This one is for football clubs shopping at the higher end of the market. As soon as you get your hands on the VaporKnit shirt, the higher price tag starts to make perfect sense. Pull this shirt on and you’ll go from feeling Sunday League to Champions League in an instant.

It’s design and material are pretty much identical to what players at the top end of the game are familiar with. Stretchy and slim cut, it is designed to provide a tailored feel and snug fit. So maybe not a shirt for those of us still carrying a bit of excess Christmas weight 🦃

Like the look of the VaporKnit shirt but don’t have the budget? Then it’s definitely worth checking out the Nike Strike II. To the naked eye it looks almost identical to it’s more extravagant cousin and it very much is, at least in terms of aesthetic. Some of the more technical features have been removed, resulting in an equally eye-catching but much more affordable shirt.

Similarly to the VaporKnit, the Strike’s high-tech, stretchy material makes it incredibly comfortable. It also wicks moisture away from the body to keep you dry in the heat of the battle.

But the shoulder panels are what really makes this shirt’s design stand out, as well as the thunderbolt style stripe down the sides. Nike design team, take a bow guys!
